Why BuyWise?

Well, here we are, the first day of my new venture. I thought I would take a moment to write a short note explaining why I started BuyWise Property.

I have spent my career working with amazing organisations, big and small, in both the banking and property sectors. Over the last 10 years I have worked as a property valuer, business banker, buyer’s advocate and development manager and enjoyed every bit of it (well, most of it). The last 8 months have been wild to say the least. I welcomed my first son into the world at the end of 2019 and then Aunty Rona turned up and thieved my job. This was the catalyst for some rest (we have a baby = funny joke) and reflection. I realised that I have represented clients from all over the world to execute more than 70 acquisitions and assisted with dozens more, completed thousands of valuations, and received a legendary amount of “what do you think of this?” calls. Then, inspiration struck, “I love this, perhaps, now is the time to do it my way?!” (cue Frank Sinatra). Then BAM! Here we are. My motivation is simple - I like to help people, I want to make complex things simple and do what I do best - help people make wise decisions when buying property.
